ANGUILLA CALENDAR OF EVENTS - 2002

Cultural Education Festival: 17-24 February 2002 – Cultural activities, focusing on heritage and social history of Anguilla through music, food, crafts and literary arts

Moonsplash: 21 – 24 March 2002 – Regional and international musicians showcase their talents under the full moon – features top Reggae acts.

Culinary Festival: Mid-late May 2002 – Anguilla’s restaurants and chefs will feature displays of food, wines and local cuisine. There will also be competitions, and international and regional culinary magazines and press will be invited.

Summer Festival: 1 – 6 August 2002 – Anguilla’s indigenous sport boat racing and Carnival activities showcasing Anguillian culture and talent. Boat racing events are held at various beaches across the island. Carnival Activities at Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre, including fireworks, International Reggae Night, and Calypso Monarch Competition.

Summer Break: 26 July – 1 August 2002. First time for an event of this nature, at Landsome Bowl, while boat racing events will be held at the various beaches. Its focus is to develop cultural activities that involve children aged 5 – 17 – a week of entertainment by children for children.
