If you like unhurried solitude and a beach vacation in paradise, then Anegada is just right for you! This flat coral island is encirdled by miles and miles of incredible white sand beaches, coral reefs, and shallow sand flats perfect for bonefishing. There are empty, virgin beaches as far as the eye can see; the island's best beach, on the Caribbean side, is almost 11 miles long. There's nothing much to do except swim and snorkel, fish, take walks on the beach, watch the ocean's changing myriad shades of blue, read and nap, or take a drive along sandy tracks to the Cow Wreck Bar or the Big Bamboo for a sumptuous fresh lobster feast...Anegada is a big step back in Caribbean time. Bring your family, a friend or lover, and a good book - you'll have time for everything here. Anegada's population is around 200 and there is just one small village, The Settlement. Phones are few; many use a VHF marine radio to call ahead for lobster dinners, and there's only one major social center, the Anegada Reef Hotel, which beckons sailors to its calm anchorage, lively bar, and its weekly buffet and jump-up. Crime is unknown here, and the gates and fences everywhere are to keep the cows and goats out of the gardens. Enjoy friendly people and peace and quiet on this paradise island!

There are a few small shops but we recommend that you arrange with us in advance to have your villa provisioined before your arrival. Also please ask us for information on getting to Anegada; there are no ferries, but there is one scheduled airline (Clair Aero) serving this outpost to and from St. Thomas and Tortola, and some relatively inexpensive charter flights available.
