Events for St Kitts
New Year's Day - There's a blast of colour as revelers take to the street in their costumes depicting different aspects of our culture.
2nd January - Last Lap - The final day of Carnival festivities. A parade and bands appear jamming throughout Basseterre.
29th March - 1st April - St. Kitts Annual Dog Show
12th May - St Kitts International Triathlon - features a 1.5km triangular swim, a two lap 40km bike race, and a 10km run.
27th - 30th June - St Kitts Music Festival - Four nights of calypso/soca, reggae, jazz and gospel. Past groups have included the Su Wen Ching Chinese Ensemble from Taiwan, the Ghanaian high-life band Western Diamonds, and Mighty Arrow from Montserrat.
19th September - Independence Day - marked by a military parade at Warner Park, followed by beach picnics and parties.
19th to 26th October - St Kitts Tourism Week, featuring Oceanfest on the 20th, with fishing tournaments, listening and dancing to the pulsing beat of soca, calypso and reggae, cheering the sunfish racers to the finish line. Held from dawn to dusk at Turtle Beach.
25th October - Caribbean Tourism Pageant.
16th - 17th December - Christmas Hamper Golf Tournament
24th of December to 2nd of January - CARNIVAL! Colourful, exotic troupes, traditional folklore characters such as moko-jumbies, masquerades, bull, clowns and acrobats bring the streets to life. There are calypso competitions, costumed street dances and steel band music.

1st January - New Year's Day Horse Racing - held at Indian Castle Race Track and staged by the Nevis Turf and Jockey Club.

24th February - 2nd March - Nevis Tourism Appreciation Week. Events include competitions, public discussions, lectures, cultural presentations, food and craft fairs, horse racing and lots of local music.
10th March - Horse Racing organized by Nevis Turf and Jockey Club at Indian Castle Race Track.
14th March - House and Garden Tour.
Good Friday - Public holiday Kite Flying Contest.
6th May - Labour Day
19th May - Whit Sunday Horseracing at Indian Castle Race Track
June - TBA - Guavaberry Caribbean Offshore Race - boat race from St. Maarten to St Kitts, ends in Nevis.
8th - 9th June - Caribbean Cup Race - Inter-Island Mountain Bike cross-country and down hill races.
July - TBA - Steel Band and String Band Dance - organized by the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society.
26th July - 6th August - CULTURAMA! Nevis' premier festival is a unique celebration of the most significant milestone in our history - the emancipation of slaves in the 1830s. It is a 7 day focus on all aspects of Nevisian Arts and Culture featuring:

Talented Youth Pageant
Cultural Street Fair, Emancipation Day Jump-up

Grand Cultural Parade and Display on Culturama Tuesday
Lead up activities span the entire month of July, including dramatic presentations, street dancing, KAISO tents, Miss Culture Presentation Dance, etc. The Cultural Village featuring food and drink, music and dynamic performances attracts huge crowds nightly until the morning hours for a full 3 week period.
4th August - Horseracing at Indian Castle Race Track.
10th August - Caribbean International Food Fair - An exotic display of food and drink, art and craft from around the world, held at the St. George's Rectory from 11 am.
19th September - Independence Day Anniversary - Military Parade at Grove Park
October - TBA - Annual Sports Fishing Tournament organized by the Nevis Yacht Club. Event headquarters is at Oualie Beach Hotel.
13th October - horse racing at Nevis Turf and Jockey Club at Indian Castle Race Track.
November - TBA - Tourism Awareness Week - Events organized by the Nevis Tourism Authority to heighten public awareness of the role of tourism in the overall development of the country. Events include competitions, public discussions, lectures, and cultural presentations.
24th November - Horse racing at Indian Castle Race Track.
December - TBA - Carol Fest - This one evening musical celebration of the performing arts features top Nevisian bands, choirs, groups and individual artists as they depict and interpret traditional Christmas Carols and contemporary songs through music, singing and dance.
December - TBA - Gingerama - a festival of indigenous music, culture and art form held in one of the local communities of Nevis - Gingerland.
